Tom burst onto the salsa scene in 2007, and completely transformed the face of salsa in the midlands.
An instant salsa junkie and his own worst critic, he quickly rose through the ranks taking many classes in Ireland and abroad, eventually starting to teach in 2008. He teaches regular weekly classes, and at congresses, and performs with his partners at various events
Tom has trained with some of the biggest names in the Salsa and Bachata Industry.
He has trained intensively in the MetaMovements dancing and teaching method, created by Anara Frank, the lady he credits as being "the best teacher in the world!"
Marcela has been teaching with BachataIreland since it was founded in March of 2010
Marcela is graceful and elegant. She is known for her gentleness as a follower and her amazing body movment. She is a key member of the BachataIreland team, and a constant source of inspiration. She has also perfomed extensively with Bachata Ireland

He is known in his dancing for his smooth, gentle, lead, and connection with both music and partner, and in his teaching for his intensity, attention to detail, and fresh, fun methods. Tom is not afraid to experiment with his dancing, bringing in elements from other dances, and challenging convention. He has competed and performed nationally and internationally.
